My dealer said it would be up there close to a viper. Just goes to show you nobody really knows whats going to happen.

Well... seeing as how the truck as the engine, transmission, and brakes of a Viper... and all the Viper is, really, is an engine surrounded by some plastic and a little bit of metal... it should cost almost as much as a Viper. right? Vipers start off at 75,000. If it doesn't, and I owned a viper I'd be pissed off.
That's not counting dealer markup. There's dodge dealership here who has the Viper selling for like $99,000. I think, unless you get a great deal, you're not going to see it for less than 50 or 60. Any less, and Viper owners will raise a stink. Rightly so.
I don't understand why everyone is worried. I mean, who cares if a truck that costs twice as much is faster? When the Viper came out, no one was worried that it was competition for the Mustang.
It's in a different class... and if Ford decides to compete, you'll be looking at a $40,000 Lightning. With rumors of the supercharger becoming an option on new F150s, this looks like it could be the case... to keep the lightning "exclusive". Just rumors, I know... but... I don't like it. I want to keep my resale value on my L as high as possible.
The SRT-10 is no threat. The only resembelance it has to the L is that it's a "truck"
