Question X-plan: Dealers say 2 to 6%, I thought it was 4%

Sorry to bring this up, but does anyone really know the answer to this question. I've not seen this talked about before, I hope.

Thanks to all in advance.

Talking 4% OVER

It is supposed to be 4% over A plan price, But take in to consideration not all dealers pay the same price for cars (high volume to low volume dealers) so there might be a small fluctuation in price. I got mine on X plan for 28.918 with tonnue

hope this helps

It's in the lower right hand side of the invoice. My "a" plan was $279
The variance in what the Dealers pay has to do with Blue Oval Certification.It comes back to the Dealer in the form of incentives. All Invoices ARE going to be the same regardless of the size of the Dlr.Only difference should be options{Tonneau cover}
No doc fees or Dlr prep fees are allowed either.
The Dealer gets re-imbursed for A/X/D Plans.On an L @ A-Plan the Dlr still makes about $1700 Triple Net + F & I incomeHope this helps!-Dave.

Well back in early March, TheHylandr was giving them away to all his F-150 buddies. Which meant anyone on F-150. , but it was over at the end of March. So my lady and I JUMPED at the offer. Well she got her about 2 weeks ago, and I just got mine last night. I can't really say, but there are a lot of nice people on this F-150 and from time to time, they let the board members in on this X-plan thing. So start now making friends. You never know when one of them will say.....here you go guys/gals have at it. I hope this helps you out. I pretty sure with the x-plan you can save any where from 3 to 5 thousand for a new truck or car.

This F-150 board has the MOST nicest people in the world on it.

My 2 cents

Never drive/ride faster than your angel can fly

Be out there

Well actually Destination IS INCLUDED in your x plan price, the ford direct website says this. but you are correct about the tax, title, license and no fees.

For some of the other comments above about x-plan prices being different from dealer to dealer. FALSE.... X-plan price is set by Ford, a dealer has nothing to do with the price (which is way a lot of cheapass dealers don't honor plans on SVT or other "high markup" cars (did you know right now with the 2500 cash back and Xplan on a maxed out Excursion you can save almost 8 grand!!!! Now ask yourself why a dealer would refuse to sell you x-plan on that). Anyway destination price may vary from location to location but if you are looking in "your buying area" there should be little to NO difference in that.

I will post some info off the x-plan site just as a FYI for those who don't know. (this is a copy and paste)

Q: What is X-Plan Pricing and how do I know if I’m getting a good deal?
A: X-Plan pricing is a special pre-determined price, which is based on the following formula:
Ford Products: Ford Employee (A-Plan) price plus 4%
You can then compare your cost to the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price to calculate your total discount.

Q: Can I receive the special X-Plan Price at any Dealer?
A: This program is available through all participating dealers in the U.S. and Canada. Dealer participation is voluntary. If for some reason your dealer elects not to participate, you may visit another dealer.

Q: Which Ford vehicles are eligible?
A: Virtually all Ford Division vehicles are eligible. The only exceptions are Ford Thunderbird and F-Super Duty 450-750.

Q: Are any other items covered through the X-Plan?
A: No, dealer installed options, conversion packages, extended warranties, accessories, etc. are not covered by this program and must be agreed upon between you and the dealer.

Q: Am I eligible for other incentives?
A: Yes, for most. X-Plan participants are eligible for all public incentives and many incentives normally paid to the dealer. There are some special offers that are not compatible with this offer. Your dealer can best determine which incentives you are eligible for.

Q: Can I purchase or lease my vehicle?
A: Yes, the only requirement with leasing is that the lease must be obtained through the respective brand’s credit source.

Q: Can I trade-in a vehicle in combination with this program?
A: Yes, however trade-in allowances are not covered by this program.

Q: How long is the program in effect?
A: There is no effective expiration date for this program, however, Ford Motor Company reserves the right to modify the program, remove eligibility, or cancel the program at any time.

Q: How long is a PIN good for?
A: PINs remain active for 12 months from date of issue.

Q: Are dealer demo models or used vehicles included in this plan?
A: No, used vehicles, including dealer demonstrators, are ineligible.

Q: Are prior model year vehicles eligible?
A: Yes, prior model year vehicles are eligible but only through March 31st of the current model year.

Q: Can I obtain a vehicle for my business or for another person?
A: No, vehicles must be titled and registered in the eligible employee or spouse's name for a minimum of six months. Other family members are not eligible for X-Plan pricing.

also........copy and paste from website:

Destination Charge:
Cost of transporting the vehicle from the assembly plant to the dealership. Depends on variables (such as weight) related to the type of vehicle. This is a flat fee established by the manufacturer and is not negotiable.

Total Discounts:
The total value discounted as a result of specific option-level and regional discounts that apply to a specific vehicle. Discounts do not apply to all vehicles or may not be offered in all states. Although FordDirect makes an effort to update its information regularly, some discounts may be expired at the time of purchase.

Total Invoice:
Total Invoice is the amount that Ford Motor Company charges its dealer for a vehicle. Total Invoice may not represent the actual dealer cost, as there are holdbacks, floor plan financing assistance, dealer advertising fund fees, shipping, and charges for gasoline that may be included in the total invoice. Additionally, there may be future rebates, allowances, discounts, and incentive awards provided from Ford Motor Company to the dealer. This data is provided for informational purposes only and actual pricing information may only be obtained from your local dealer.

The X-Plan Price:
As an eligible X-Plan participant, you may purchase or lease eligible Ford Division vehicles at a special, predetermined price. This price is based upon the Ford Employee (A-Plan) price plus 4%. Generally this price is below the dealer invoice price, saving you hundreds, even thousands of dollars on new Ford Division products. Dealer Participation in the X-Plan program is voluntary and determined on an individual basis; however, most dealers actively participate and are eager to accept your business. Vehicles may be purchased/leased from dealer stock or ordered.

Well actually, I didn't say that it wasn't included in the x-plan price; what I did say was that it is one of the fees that you still must pay when using the x-plan.

Thank you for the info though.

Opps sorry I misread what you had typed... :o

I only pasted the info cuz there seems to be a lot of people asking questions or saying "may dealer says______" so I thought i would try to give em the real scoop (or at least all the info I have available to me)

TheHylandr you helped a lot of people (my brother included) which was awesome!!! Thanks, doesn't begin to cover it but he extends a hugh Thanks anyway!

I wonder if Ford has stoped giving them out "easy" cuz they have offer the partner program to so many new companies this year?

Just picked up my '02 Supercab under the X-Plan.

Now I don't know if the dealer was blowin' smoke or not, but he told me that the X-plan discount had changed to an amount less than the 4% figure we're all familiar with.

He honored the 4% on my deal, so I'm felling pretty good right now...

Any body else heard that????
