Factory Tech Mod question

Factory Tech Mod question
Just received factory tech mod. couple of (dumb)
questions:
1) the black plastic part that was separate in the shipped box - is this a new transmission filter?
2) the 2 cylindrical inserts on each end of the
new valve body - are these supposed to be able to move in and out, or are they fixed ? they seem tight in the bores, and don't seem to move much.
3) i also received the deeper ford pan. do i need to purchase a new gasket, or can i reuse the old one ?

2- Just let them be they are fine!!
3- The stock pan has a reusable gasket, new one is not needed!!
