Thumbs up Lightning Strikes SS Camaro

The wabbit put it ON the SS Camaro! I ran a 8.43 with a 1.91 60 foot to his 9.49 and 2.26 60 foot. I thought those Chebbys ran better than that. I killed him in the 60. The Chiken had his ears laid WAY BACK and the F1's were hooking like a biotch!

The one thing that slowed me some was the weather. Walker887 can tell you that it was some kind of hot here today. It was 90 degrees when I made that run.

I also outran a 69 454 Chevy truck but that's another story. It wasn't running right.

All in all it was a good night.

Thanks for letting me brag, AGAIN.

Tim

Tim,

Glad you are finally testing that Bunny power out... You need 1.7x or 1.8x's to get you in the 7's man!!!

Rotors, LOL, you crack me up!! I'm running stock wheels right now. I'm selling but haven't actually sold the 20 yet. I think I have them sold but time will tell.

I still haven't decided which ones yet. Need the cash in hand first anyway.

I know Richard but how in the hell do you do it? The F1's were sticking like glue and I was nailing the throttle hard as I could. No spin at all.

If you have good traction try 1000rpm on the line then to the floor!!! Did you ice that baby down? What was your MPH?

1000 to 1200 was what I was doing and no I didn't ice it down. It felt strong and never missed a beat, pulling like hell.

Do you have a stall converter? I don't havea stall converter, electric fans or power cooler. I know these things are suppose to help but how much?

MPH, 84.057

Seriously though...I ran 8.19 w/1.83 60' @85mph with just:
M/T E-T streets, K&N Panel Filter ( BOX ), Sean Hyland upper pulley, and Autologic chip custom tuned on the dyno at Panhandle Performance...Truck made 380HP/476ft.lbs TQ @ normal operating temp. when it ran the 8.19!!!!!

Something certainly isn't right....I'm running 8.2xx @ 86.xx 1/8's with just a 2 lb pulley, a chip, a cool air system and line mod valve.

He's probably fine. Hot weather really kills the power of a supercharged vehicle, plus each track is different.

Chikenears and guys ...there is nothing wrong with his truck , these hot 90 degree carolina days are bad for any supercharged vehicle. intercooled or not, it will not run any better until the heat is gone. yea maybe if he sits till past dusk and goes out . he will get a 7 pass. I have seen .3-.5 1/4 mile improvements after sun goes down here. only cars that run fast are nitrous apps.

FFW in Atlanta would be no better , hot stinky hot. His best chance at the 12's will be Bristol FFW in august.
Sorry to say that Chiken , but right now its true.....So do not beat yourself up cause right now there is nothing you can buy or do , just have fun. even a dyno run now would net false numbers.

and you did drive 40 minutes in traffic to get there. I was hot and down on power and I got there in 10.

see it went straight from 60's to 90's in 3 days here. so do not worry it get better

Don't you think that red hood of yours would get me into the sevens? HUH, do ya, HUH???? You'd get more money for it with the stock hood, don't ya think? HUH, don't ya, HUH????
