Question Cat-back recommendations

I'd like a little more growl. Nothing obnoxiously loud (don't need straight pipes).

I know a cat-back will probably yield a negligible gain in power.

Please post your favorite with price and vendor if you can, as well as a pic if you have one.

Thanks!

Bassani cat back is by far the best you can get! Best sounds, quality and fit. I love it.

Bassani or Dual Magnaflows sound the best!!!

All of the tuners carry good lines of cat backs. Whoever you feel best with shuld be who you buy from...

I deal with Sal mainly now.... He takes good care of me...

Joe,

LOL, we think to much alike man...

Wes,

Hey guy! How's it going?

I like the Bassani. I've got the full kit, headers, cats, cat back. That said, it sounds just like most of the other guys with just the catback. If you want to hear a sound of it starting and idling, check out the video:

I would go with JDM's other magna flow system the one with the oval mufflers. It is a little quieter than the silver bullet, but will give you the bark you want.

I know where you can get a cheap dual in/out polished SS Magnaflow muffler, with only 3000mi on it.

Email me if you want some details.......Joe

Wes,

HOW YA BEEN STRANGER?!?! It's been a long time.

Bassani setup is nice as is JDM's silver bullet.

I've had a Magnaflow setup for over a year and LOVE the sound.

Bought the 12468 muffler (14468 Stainless option), had a local shop work the pipes, and added Borla tips.

~$350 out the door.

Good to see you post again.

Bob

The Bassani cat back is hard to beat. Thats what I have in conjunction with the JDM long tubes and high-flow cats. It is now much louder than the Bassani shorties and cats that I had. The sound is perfect IMO. The JDM Silver Bullet cat back is also very nice and it has the best tipps (4 inch) out of all of them. I have yet to hear one in person so I cant comment. Both of these systems are stainless with polished tipps. Hope this help.

ps: tired of that Z06 yet??

Thanks everyone!

I appreciate the recommendations.

I'm getting the itch to do a few more things to the truck, but being that this is my "company truck" and I need it to go 100k miles (just hit 25k at 32 months of ownership today), I don't want to do things that will compromise longevity.

Bob and Travis, good to hear from you guys! And no, I'm not tired of the Z06. With just two simple mods I'm at 371rwhp now (will be good for high-11s on F1s on a nice day) and will be installing the nitrous on it soon.

Any pics of the Bassani tips installed?
