Where Does It Go!!!!
Yes I run my Lightning occasionally hard but I checked oil today after almost 4000k from last oil change and I'm almost 2 quarts low. at almost $6 a quart this 7500k oil isn't doing me any good. WHERE THE HE!! IS IT GOING?? not dripping, not smoking, have breather cap on what else can I do??Can this mess up my engine or plugs?
if you have a breather cap and your crank case pressure is not right for it then you may be losing oil right through your breather,,, just my .02 cents,,, a little while ago i noticed some oil spots under my truck and took it to the dealer, i put the regular oil cap back on beforei took it so as not to look obvious to my modding and they found nothing wrong, since then i have switched to my stock cap again and no oil problems.

check and look for too much oil residue on the breather filter.

frank2- Same problem here! My friend down the street also has this problem with his 01. Our trucks will use a quart every 1500 miles or so, but like you said, they dont leak anywhere and its not blowing out the exhaust. I do still notice after it has sat for a few days and I start it up, that it will blow a small cloud of blue smoke out the exhaust, but it stops immediatly.
I just keep a close watch on the oil level and hope it stops.
I have found no one able to explain what is happening. Mods have nothing to do with it because at the time we found out about my friends he was stock down to the paper air filter and mine was modded. I used synthetic motor oil from day one and he used motorcraft 5w-20 only, so the synthetic use early on is no excuse neither. Maybe someone will shed some light on this in the near future, until then guess Ill keep adding oil.
