Someone posted a how-to on NLOC a while ago. It involved heavy oak furniture and no tie-downs. Maybe it's a bit unorthodox, but it would work.

1. Get a baseball bat, preferably wood.
2. Stand in bed and take a few practice swings.
3. Line up close enough for bat tip to hit center window.
4. Swing bat very hard.

This should do the trick. Recommend wearing safety glasses and gloves. This always worked at the gas station I worked at during college. Some dopes want to pump and run. We always got our money or something of equal value.

I recall seeing some directions for rear window and trim removal on the Breezer (removable rear window) web site. It's not exactly what you are looking for, but ...

Breezer rear window install

Beleive it or not a gen 2 looks much better with full glass than with the slider. I have seen a couple of L's with the full glass and it looks much cleaner and sportier with no slider imho.

I sure wish I could get a vertical electric sliding rear window like in the Honda Del Sol! I had one (in a previous life), and I really liked it a lot. It was one of the best features of that car.
