How much do wheels and tires weigh??

I have a set of 20" Lightning replicas and 295/40/20's. Does anyone know how much they weigh? I could take one and weigh it but maybe someone will know.

I have them sold and need to ship them. What would be the best way to ship, UPS?

Edit* The deal fell through so I ran an ad in the classifieds, for the wheels only, sold the tires already.

RT,

Yep but I'm having a hard time deciding which ones to get. Mucho expensive also!

RT, while I've got your attention, you changed your grills to Street Scene grills and your truck is a 99, right?
Did you use the stock grill underneath the SS grill?

The reason I ask is, Walker887 graciously gave me his old honeycomb grill and I want to use it in my 01 to install chrome Street Scene grills like yours.

I JUST mentioned that I might sell my 20" replicas at the tail end of a thread and I started getting emails like you wouldn't believe! Man people read this board!!!

I know what you mean, when I was thinking about 22" rims I was getting allot of mail too but I want to much for them to make up for the lost money I guess. I'm happy with the 20 inch size though.

As far as my grills go, I have nothing underneath mine. I had the billets before and I sold them and sold my stockers also, so I just rigged them up in there now. the bottom fits perfect but the top is a little shy of the edges so you need to spread them out and zip tie them in place.

What 22's are you getting. I really like the foose spank wheels now after seeing them on pornstar girls truck! those are tight!!! Maybe once I get my new motor with the novi 2000 done I'll work on the wheels again, but until I hit 10's the last thing on my mind is spenging anymore money on cosmetic mods.

here is my take on the weight issue.
Metal weighs more than rubber so the bidder the wheel the more weight you will be turning. I know the stock wheels weigh around 30-32 lbs each, I would say every 2 inches bigger you go you will add a few lbs.

RT,

I like the Foose Spanks too but I've been looking at some others also. I wish somebody would make a 22" L replica. I like the stock look but want to go a little bigger.

Now that I have Walker887's stock grill, I'm thinking about using it. That should work good, I hope. I'm under the impression that they fit right in there and clip in place. Is this correct, if you know?

Tim,

Make sure you send ground...

I got screwed by FED EX on some tires I sent. Bascially I sent my old tires away for free. The money I got barely covered the shipping, FED EX mis quoted and screwed me....

I'm pretty sure they will fit right in there no problem, but on the bottom grill I wouldn't use one, or what you could do it cut the honey comb section out and leave a frame so its not so noticable? I would get daring and try that one, but thats me and you know what. You'll try it too! HEHEHEHEHEHE

If someone made 22" L replicas I would be all over it!
