I used a 3/4'" socket. I turned the crank pulley right under the fan pulley.

WHERE THE HAY is the flywheel? I see not 3/4 inch nut or bolt. I am such a retard!

Hey foo, i lowered it this weekend! I got about a 1.75" drop in the front from the eibach springs and it looks INCREDIBLE. The back still needs to come down about another 1.5 inches so im gonna get the composite leaf springs. The wheels are comming in wed.

Since I did this last night I think I can help you. You will need a 14mm hex socket driver part# from Snap-On is SAM14E or craftsman will have it also don't know part#. This socket will fit in the lower blower pulley and this way you can turn the engine over. On the bottom of the bell housing is a plug remove this and you can see up in the tranny at the converter. Turn over the engine till you can see a small bolt going into the converter this is the drain plug. Remove bolt and your fluid should drain out. I just pulled my whole tranny last night I will be installing Level10's clutches and valve body. Hope this helps

Nope that's it unless your stronger than me, then you can try to turn the pulley with your bare hands. Personally I would go buy the socket and save yourself the agravation.

Two other options, either buy a lower pulley and get the hex socket for free! Or find someone (another L owner) around that has a lower pulley, and borrow his/her socket.

I may be

missing something here(I d/k anything about t/cs) but when I changed my lower pulley, I was able to move the t/c with just a 90 degree socket wrench(Snapon) on one of the t/c nuts. I had to slip/move it to line one of its bolts up with the cover bolt hole to be able to lock it down to keep the eng. from turning over when breaking the pulley bolt loose. In other words, just take a screwdriver and push against one of the t/c nut/bolts and turn the t/c until you see the drain plug. If I'm 'full of it', please don't flame .
