New 03 color!!!
Well, the *L* that i'll be getting is True Blue, so if they discontinue that for yellow, that would probably make the blue color pretty exclusive since it would have been out for the 2002 model year run only. If they make a yellow *L*, please let it be Chrome yellow, not Zinc Yellow. I absolutely love the bold color of the chrome yellow and the zinc yellow looks just too washed out to me. A bold chrome yellow *L* would be so awesome, although it would grab too much attention for my tastes. When I like to drive, I would appreciate a bit of stealth, which a bold yellow just throws out the window. I also don't live in the best of neighborhoods either, so stealth is very valuable.

Actually they make 2 to 3 times more cobras a year than they do lightnings. (You have to add the convertible and coupe production numbers together) and they have been making them a lot longer.
I mean...we would all love to have a car like this that no one else owns...but exclusivity costs money....lots of it...you want exclusive, buy a Bentley. Car companies just can't afford to limit the production as much as we would like.
In the scheme of things, 5,000 a year is still extremely limited production when you compare it to most everything else on the road today.
BTW...that money you paid over sticker, doesn't go to Ford...that goes into the dealers pocket. FoMoCo makes the same amount of money on every lightning regardless of what the dealer charges (except for x and a plans, they take even more of a hit) So although you may have felt that you paid more money, so you should get a more limited production run, none of that extra mula goes back to Ford..who pays all the cost of designing, developing, and manufacturing the Lightning. The person who makes out is the dealer...who gouges you on the price. And all he has to do is have it sit in his lawn or showroom for a couple days.
If you want there to be an SVT in the future, they will need to make a profit. To make a profit, they will have to sell more cars. Simple as that. Sorry.
I wish my truck were one of 5,000 made also, but I would rather have other Lightnings on the road, than not have one at all.

YELLOW?- That is a whole lotta YELLOW blaring off a Lightning
Basically, I don't think I've ever seen a car/truck of that size YELLOW. It screams : "LOOK AT ME! I'M YELLOW" and it screams "I'M A BAD ***" - it's a ballsy color, but this truck does have the ***** for it... Just my opinion

Yellow is too trendy. Hot today gone tomorrow. Mystic or a two-tone silver & charcoal.
You want exclusive buy a GT 40. That's one reason they will be $100k+. The L is still a F-150 based vehicle. Not going to be a huge collector car in our lifetime. Just saw a white 99 in Autoweek with 800 miles for $22k obo.

95 Saleen S351,
I'm all about companies making profit but if a company is going to say its a Limited Edition truck then make it Limited Edition. Whats the point of having limited edition when they are going to have about 40,000plus lightnings after a couple more years of production.

Don't forget about the fuzzy dice and dingle-berries!!!!
Your genie is wrong. The new color for 03 is mineral gray like the 01 cobras. Diffferent wheels and adjustable pedals with aluminum trim will be there . The gray will be replacing the blue color. fact
Im not gonna ask how you know or think this but are you POSITIVE?
Have you seen it?
What do the wheels look like?
