color scheme

I'm getting a brand new '02 L in about 2 weeks (the last one the dealership is getting til the '03 model year) and was wondering what you guys think of this color scheme.

The truck is silver, and i want to powdercoat the wheels black, put black racing stripes and blackouts over the head and tail lights. What do you think.

Also, do any of you have powdercoated wheels? Do they look good?
Thanks

Dude, Good luck with your purchase! Not much of a fan of racing strips unless its on a Chevelle. Try to find pics of Doglegs L, his is red with yellow stripes. Looks real nice. Look into doing the clear corners instead of the blackouts. Oh by the way, good choice on color, its the fastest.

i feel the EXACT same way, silver is the fastest, no head light covers, black stripes will look good, but I like chrome rims better than black but it is/ will be your truck.

Blue goes great with Sliver, and so does a pinkish, red. My Hog had a custom paint job with sliver and that damn color and it looked great. I have to admit, I was real worried when the painter picked the colors but he was correct in his choice.
Hell, nearly anygthing will go with sliver. Be bold and pick something else besides black. You might as well go all the way with it.

I can't tell you how hard it was to put those yellow stripes on my new red truck.

Here is the link to the rest of my pictures incase you care to take a look. Good luck with your stripes!

I have a silver '01 and was thinking about powdercoating the wheels charcoal.I personally don't even like racing stripes on racing cars(not even the AC cobra)but it is your truck. If you do decide to powdercoat the wheels though,Do it first and post some pics before you do the stripes.
