Question Which Plugs???

Look at my sig and consider that I will spray a 50shot about once a weekend...Then tell me which plugs to use...I'm considering some Densos but I don't know which ones...Am now using NGK BR7s and think they're robbing me on POWER!!!

James:

I'm running the NGK BR7EFs(.040") too with 5 lbs of extra boost and they work well on the track(they misfire at low rpms). I don't have all the mods you do but the boost is close.

I'm going to the Denso IT24s(on order from PSP) as they are about the same heat range as the BRs but should have less misfiring characteristics. Someone(?) posted a chart showing the Densos had the least incidence of misfiring of all the popular plugs we use.

Masterloggie loves his(IT20s) !

Lightningrod, are you sure that the 24's are the correct cross reference for the br7? I was told the it 22's were the same range as the br7's.
I know there is a reference chart on one of the manufacturers sites but can't remember the link.

My engine has been sitting at the builders for two weeks all done but wating for some custom valvesprings so i have not messed with the upper pulley yet. I was told no machining or pulley tool required to install it but time will tell.

Tampa svt and at least one other member have the martin upper on there L's and could give you better info. Now that you mentioned it maybe i better install the hub while i have the blower off.

Sal mentioned that he did not notice much of a difference between the it20 and it22's.

Guys with lots of boost are running the it24's (6pounds+)

I'm using the it22's with a 4 pound pulley.

If that is the case then i guess i will have to sell a set of unused it22's cheap.
