Unhappy Oil past MAF

I was just making the air box mod and was concerned to find oil sitting in the air intake tube between the MAF and the blower. Is this common or should I take it to dealer and have it looked at? I hope this has not been asked before. If so, I am sorry for the repeat question.

dont worry about it. it is the crank case relieving pressure. If you want to get ride of it you will either need to get a collector can or an oil breather cap. The cap requiers a chip so that the PCM doesn't freak out with the decreasing in oil pressure.

Thanks, Spade$. I was a little concerned at first, but when I looked at the intake tube there seemed to be drain lines down the the head cover. I soaked up the standing oil with a rag and reinstalled the air filter minus the bottom of the air box. I wanted to try the air box mod without hacking up the box. Thanks again.

SVT360: Most of us think/know that it's the s/c pressurizing the crankcase that forces the oil up into the intake.

Spade$: Didn't you mean 'crankcase' pressure?
