Tire Pressure

I have read from 20 up to 27 PSI is a good tire pressure to launch from the strip, which one is best? Are there different advantages to each, or is it just a matter of personal preference?

And one more thing, what tire pressure should I use on my 22's? They are at 50 PSI right now, should I leave it, lower it? HDMLNIUM or ICULOKN should know that one...

thanx a lot

you are not running with your 22's are you..

i had a problem running low pressure the other day.
i had about 33 PSI in my right passenger tire and i wa driving about 65 MPH down the highway and my tire MELTED..
the entire sidewall fried..

there was thick white smoke pouring from the tire..

my friend at the tire shop said that if you run big tires like this with low pressure they will actually heat up and melt.

there was tire (flakes) on the inside of the tire.. look like i did a burnout and scooped up 2 pounds of ash off the road and poured it in the tire...

I run my 22's around 40psi. I dont really launch hard on them and try not to spin them to much. I have went the best of a 1.90 60 foot with a 12.55 @ 110 with them on. I have only made 3 passes with them on though and I roll the truck way out. I would say try 38-40 range, anything lower and you may damage the low profile tire....

The F1's I ran best with 32psi in them, I have had 1.8x's 60 foot time with them.... 12.40-12.50 best ET
