head gaskets

What type of gaskets is everyone using in their built engines? Where do you get them? The machinist that is doing my heads says to O-ring it but it isn't just a track truck. He says graphite are nice. Anyone have experience with graphite gaskets in their Lightning?

Stock gaskets seem to be the choice of most modular engine builders. They are a multi layer graphite gasket. The weak link is the torque to yeild stock head bolts. Replace the bolts with studs and use stock gaskets and you should have no problems.
