Trailers For our trucks

Hey, does anyone know where I can rent a trailer to tow my L to an upcoming event??

I'm not trying to look cool, but it's more for convenience. I've thought about buying one, but #1 don't have any place to store it, and #2 Don't really want to fork over cash for a one-two time thing.

Doesn't have to be an enclosed trailer, falt bed is fine. I'm in the Los Angeles area, and am willing to travel an hour or two.

p.s., I went to UHAUL already, they said my wheels wouldn't fit on the ramps.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have like U-haul, Ryder, Penseke, or something like that around there? They rent trailers at resonable rates usually...

No Penske, or Ryder, just enough UHAULS around here to rival the numbers of Starbucks....

And like mentioned, they said our stock wheels wouldn't fit. (they didn't have a flat bed type trailor)

Marcus, no trailer queens allowed.

Where are you going to tow it? Is U-haul saying that your tires are too wide to fit in the channels of the trailer? If so, just get some 2x6" boards, and fill the channels.

Or is the truck to wide to fit betwen the trailer wheels? Make sure that trailer is rated for 6000 lbs. Also, your your tow vehaile is going to have to be rated for about 10,000 lbs GVWT

.

If there trailers are like ours, then the wheels are too big to fit between the wheel covers. We made one side of ours removeable so that the truck would fit.

U-haul has a trailer that will fit your truck. Last year at WFC spiro and sal rented a truck and a trailer for hauling there crap and towing down sal's truck on a trailer. sal or spiro should know what the model is.

I just want to be a trailor queen like the big boys! Really, I wanted to tow it with my Conversion Van since the van has a tv, playstation, DVD, VHS, and a bed (major plus) in it. I was also thinking about putting spare tires on the front and have the ET streets already mounted on the rear. It'll look ugly, but it will also fit!

Oh, and UHAUL said the our stock tires were too wide.

In writting this, I've just decided to drive the L up there. I can't find a trailor that'll hold up to freeway speeds (65) All the UHAUL ones are rated only at 45mph, too slow for this cat.

Cool clarification

Hey Joe,

Sal drove his truck, Spiro's was on the trailer pulled by a Ryder covered with WFC decals... hmmm wonder how those got there.. hehe

Sal, JL, Spiro, L_Acious and myself convoyed from Terre Haute to St. Louis at a snail's 55 mph

The 90+ mph trip home made up for it though..

Bob

They had a U-haul though right? Thats what I thought.

55mph, no way for me! When we convoyed with bob kurgan last year he was clipping at about 80 to 85 MPH with his big a$$ trailer and the F250. And he wonders how his tranny took a big dump on him this year, HAHAHAHAHAHA.

I want to tow my truck this year, but I doubt thats going to happen.
