Odd Boost Response On Gauge, What Do You Think?

Alright boys, I finished putting in my autometer boost gauge. I tapped it into the stock gauge using the 3/16 tee like some of yo had told me on here before. Anyways, I double-triple checked everything to make sure everything is hooked up right. When I gun my baby the stock gauge registers 9-10 pounds, but the autometer WILL NOT go above 6. Sooo, what is wrong? Could it be a bad gauge??

Well i wouldnt go by the stock boost to compare. But stock is suppsoed to be 8# of boost and with that JL Ram Air you should be seeing about 9 or 10#. Before i stripped my truck for a trip to the dealer with my mods on which was PSP FastAir, PSP 2# lower, LFP 1-1.5 upper pulley, Babolt t/b, 90mm MAF, Bassani Cat Back, PSP/Factory_Tech Valve bodie i think thats everything i was seeing like 14.5- 15# on my autometer boost gauge. So maybe if you know someone with a boost gauge you can borrow try theirs and see what you get.

...could be a bad guage. I had 2 go bad way back when, and they were new from AUTOMETER. Does the guage "zero out" when truck is not running?
Best thing to do is check your tubing for kinks, and possibly swap guages with a fellow L owner to test yours out.

"Deja vu all over again!" Your name came up a couple of times at the NMRA event in Reynolds, Ga. They were all respectful comments.

Girl,

Is the gauge at 0 when the engine is off? Mine was a little funky when I first but it in. It was a little into vac. I took it apart and fixed it all up. But even at that it was still a low. I dont remember what I did since then but now it's good. Also note that you dont hit full boost until you're moving right along. With the stock pulley I wouldn't get to 9.5psi until i was near the end of the track. Now with the 2lb in i hit 10 almost right away but I dont go over 10 If it's all mess up Im sure we'll forgive you
