What degree shims after 3/4 drop?

Just wondering what shims everyone is using after 3/4 drop. I installed a 4 degree shim under the rear spring on the axle perch but it needs more of downward rotation...its near straight with the drive shaft now! Any suggestions?

I have a 4-degree installed. No problems here (that I know of).

Mark,

I have a 3 deg and a 2deg to give me 5 deg total. I like the way the rear looks with that...

How does the rear look? Is the driveshaft straight with the pinion with the L sitting normally? Or is the pinion pointing down slightly? Also where could I get some shims? Thanks

Pointing down just a tad, the traction bars keep it right inline under load. Most and spring or aligment shop will have them. Summit has them as well I think....

Did you check your DS angle? I want to make sure mine is set just right before I bolt on the traction/lift bars. Thanks

OK that sounds good. I will most likely do the same. Here is a picture of some shims. They are from Summit. Thanks for your help. http://store.summitracing.com/global...e/BEL-4975.jpg

Those are it...

Here is some info from my experiances...

Stock 3deg shims work well

2in shackels 2deg shims

3/4 kit- Use 5deg shims

These are how I got my best results or pinion angle setup....

I found these at Jegs. Maybe they will work better since I don't need that bolt right? http://www.jegs.com/photos/62020510.jpg

It would be best to measure the angles.

Hey Spike, I am showing my ignorance here, but how do you measure the "angle" , and what "angle" are we talkin' about here? Is this where the drive shaft goes into the pumpkin??

Did any of you have to install the Belltech Camber kit to have the front end aligned after the 3" drop up front?
