High quality replacement carpet
I have deceided to replace my carpet with some more appealing pre-fitted carpet, preferably black. This carpet that we have is pure crap, and since i already have it out of the truck right now i might as well replace it with some higher quality stuff.
Has anyone replaced their carpet or know of anyone that has and where did they get it from/brand. Any info AT ALL or past experiences will be appreciated! Thanx.

Try www.accmats.com they don't offer online ordering yet, but have a wide variety of fibers & custom fit carpeting available.
If your looking for direct fit carpet of a high quality good luck. Check out guys that do restro work on Benz's and the like. They are the ones who can hook you up. Was talking to a guy detailing a S600 and picking his brain about what he likes to use on these kind of cars. Saw the mats out and took a look at the carpet in this bad ride, man it's some sweet stuff. Check out this little detail trick! Wash car and take most of the water off with a water blade. Next put polish [not wax] on a damp sponge and wipe it on [don't have to cover everything] then remove with a quick detail mist type product. Sounds good to me, gonna try it soon. Good luck on the carpet.

Thanks for the reply guys...too bad no one can share experiences with the carpets.
Adrenaline, I guess i'll try to get ahold of sixpipes!
If i dont find any other suppliers other than ACC, i may have to go with them...how bad is their carpet compared to stock?

I used to think the OEM carpet was "pure crap" as well until I started looking for an aftermarket replacement. Now those are pure crap! I do not own an L but the cab configurations are the same so here is some feedback on the Nifty Pro-Line carpet:
- Carpet is thin, very thin. Probably 1/3 (at best) compared to stock.
- Not pre-molded. (Don't be fooled by their pictures) Flat where it shouldn't be and curved where it shouldn't be. Does not follow curves of the cab interior at all.
- Insulation is very thin and small. Once again 1/3 in thickness and area compared to stock.
- Too small for regular cab F-150. Side to side has plenty of coverage but front to back is short about 1.5 inch.
- Mud guard rubber pad is small and isn't at stock location. In other words your boots/shoes are 1/2 on the carpet 1/2 on the rubber.
- A total waste of time and money. Once you've really gotten into the project and cut the holes for the seat bolts and try to shape it so carpet would fit properly, you've realized it will never fit but by then it's too late to send it back.
Oh well, live and learn I guess.

I tore out my rubber stock mat. Replaced with upgraded carpet from Stockinteriors.com. I have a 08' Reg Cab. The carpet was a direct fit, molded in the right places and just had to trim the edges. They will send you a sample free. Cost me $120.
Having an Upholstery shop, and doing this for 35 yrs, I can tell you that the quality of carpet today it sh%t. I do use ACC for replacements on most standard vehicles. BUT, for the street rods I still use upgraded carpet and have to cut and sew it to make it fit. The problem with molded carpet is that it has to be rather thin in order to heat it in the molding process. I guess they can't do it with thick carpet? I guess the only real option we all have (and that includes my own truck) is to buy the after market crap and plan on replacement every 5 years or so. I wouldn't want to try to cut and fit and sew to try to form fit carpet to the floor on these trucks.
