2 LB. Pulley = Rumbling blower?

Hey guys,
I just put on a 2 lb'er and I'm getting alot more rumbling sound out of the blower. Is this normal and is there anything I can do about it?
Thanks
Chris

All the trucks I've been around do the same thing. My guess is it has something to do with the stock lower pulley being dampened and the aftermarket pulleys are not. Also the noise is probably coming from the rear bearings in the blower.

I even went so far as to pull my blower apart and regrease the needle bearings in the rear and it helped for a bit, but it still makes noise.

Should we be worried about it Only time will tell I guess.

i was told that rumbling noise (happened before mods) was a non issue by ford.

As someone else said we will see.

This is from JDMs FAQ: http://www.teamjdm.com/id23.htm

Q- I installed one of your supercharger pulleys, and now I notice a strange sound coming from my supercharger. It almost sounds like marbles rattling in there, or a little like a diesel engine. What's going on?
A- This is a common situation, and is due to air cavitation within your supercharger (think of it as air bubbles bursting). By burning your chip for a slightly higher idle speed, we can overcome this problem. By the way, it is not something that would cause damage.

2" ASP lower pulley...WOW!

Yup, there is a minimal rumbling sound coming from the engine compartment in my L, but only when in gear @ idle. Just off idle and the noise is gone All increased noise aside, this inexpensive add-on really woke the 330 up!

Someone posted earlier that when they switched to Mobil 1 the rumble sound went away. That got me to thinking (yeah, I know...oh oh)...anyhow, I used to have marbles in a can under my hood too, but I recently switched to Mobil 1 and I no longer have the marbles sound. I didn't realize it until I read that post though.
