Got my ported TB and upper intake today from Metco, real nice parts. Took about 30 minutes to swap it out. Should of taken comparison pics of stock and ported... no patience. Basically the TB was cleaned and smoothed, the intake was larger inside, as well as smoothed out, and both were matched to the gaskets. When I bolted the TB on, it flowed smoothly into the intake, looking through the butterflies.

As for results... seat of the pants says good. From a 30mph roll the truck shifted to 1st gear, revved to 5700 or so, and smoked the tires on the shift to second. Plus its easier to break them free from a slow speed roll as well. I will take it to the track for some comparison runs with my baseline ones last week. Overall I give the parts a good thumbs up.

How much did the parts cost ?? Are they brand new, you order them right from metco and you retain your stock t/b and intake?? Is the T/b stock or is it the oval bore t/b? Any info or pics would be great.

Its a core exchange thing, I send them my parts after installing theirs. They have a small number available, as its one guy doing the port work for them. I paid $225 for the intake, and $200 for the TB, basically the labor for porting. I have seen two sets of these, and the guy that does them is very consistent, obviously an experienced porter.
