Bassani cat-back tips/tricks

Hi,

I just picked up my Bassani cat-back system from the FedEX place (I wasn't home when they tried to deliver).

Anywho, I want to install it this afternoon/evening. I was wondering if you guys with experience with this kit could give me some pointers.

I remember someone said that the clamps that come with the kit suck. Anything else I should know about? Would you recommend special tools?...aside from the biggies, like air compressor.

If I should use different U-bolts, what size should I get? (I haven't even opened the box yet...I'm at work right now).

Has someone written up an installation procedure already?

Thanks,

-Kris

Kris,

No special tools are needed. It's a fairly simple installation and I would recommend you use the supplied clamps, ( I did ) if you have an air compressor you can get them good and tight. They are a different kind of clamp, like I've never seen before, but they are stainless steel and nice. The look kind of like a band/strap that goes around the pipe. I liked them, unlike some others on this board.

Don't scrimp on any of the hangers, use them all and you'll be fine. Good luck and enjoy.

Tim
