Truck repair update, valve body info, and LFP

http://www.powersurgeperformance.net/shift.htm

I am not sure if this has been posted on the board before, but it answered a lot of questions i had in regards to the transmission on these L's and upgrade kits for them. Thanks for the info Factory Tech, it makes the decision for which transmission upgrade to get much more simple to make. I wish there were more technical articles out there for other parts, its ok though, thats why we have this board to come to.

Update on my truck status,,,

Dealership called me,, They could not find any trace of oil leaking anywhere on my engine, so i showed them a picture of my driveway with the oil spot on it and they said they will take a look at it tomorrow. Aparently they did fix my cold start stalling problem, it was a faulty valve which worked with the air fuel sensor ( forgot which valve they were talking about, been a long night)

As for the passenger side foglight, they told me they could not fix it under warreny cause i had 9005 size foglights in there and the oem part was 9145, when i told them i had a hard time finding 9145 they told me they sold them and it shouldn't have been a problem. Today stopped by the dealership and showed them the two other fog light bulbs I had went through before i put the 9005's in, along with the receipts for them. At this point the service manager took the bulbs and said he will see what he can do on monday. I hope that this works out with the foglights, although i'm sure its just a dirty contact, or a short in one of the wires from the driver's foglight to the passenger side, it still is much more of a pain then it ever should have been to get it taken care of. I'm very happy i keep good records and receipts of everything i do to the truck on my own, you never know when you are crossing a line that you didn't know what there, but you can't always be without the truck for a day,,,or week, to get the problems fixed by the dealership all the time.

Oh yeah, and after looking through lots of the tuner's websights, i noticed that Lightning Force has a rather good websight with their how to section, thats good to see as i like to do most installs on my own, its a good sense of accomplishment, plus you save money on having someone else do the work,,,,, as long as you know what your doing or have a good friend that does.

oh yeah,, and to top it all off,,,, stuck in this grean escort, with power nothing, no cruise control, not one thing,,,, just makes me think of how spoiled i've been with my L, and even my ranger, taurus, and van before then, they all had at least power locks and windows,,,, i can't beleive how i've come to rely on power options over the years,, i went to roll down my window today and almost couldn't find the window crank. I also frequently come back to this car to find that the only door that is locked is my driver side front door. I love my L, and i'll definately be more apreciative of her once i pick her up on monday,,, hopefully it'll be done by then,,,
