Question Keypad Mod

Does anyone know what size screw to use in assembling the keypad to the handle. As with everyone else, this was not included with the handle. (This for the Keypad modification)

Thanks

Uhhh

Small....

Seriously I just used a small one I had laying around. I am not fluent in screw sizes.

Just go through your coffee can filled with screws until you find a good one. Thats what I did

Also what I did was to put the srew in to make sure it treaded good, then I took it out put the keypad in, and when I put the screw back in I dropped some crazy glue on it just to make sure it held in the tightly.

I used the screw from an outlet cover that I had lying around. Fit great, not too long.

If you give me your address, I'd be happy to send you all the hardware necessary to do it. I just did mine; and since the hardware store only sells screws in sets of 3, I've got 2 extra sets of hardware. I don't have the sizes in front of me; but I used a sheetmetal screw, a machine screw, a split washer, and a nut (all stainless) for the whole job. BTW, a much easier way to deal with the counterweights is to Dremel off the rivet that hold the counterweight to the handle. Do this on your original and new handle and then swap them. Use the machine screw, washer, and nut to replace the rivet. If you're interested, shoot me an email.

HTH,
Edward

I took the handle to a large Frod dealer... and they went in back and found the best fitting screw for it.

Still had to place a couple of washers on it due to it length... been installed for over 9 months and no trouble.
