I went to load some stuff behind the seat(s) of my '01 this morning, and as luck would have it, it wouldn't all fit behind my driver's seat. It was just a handgun case, and some ammo... ok, it was a lot of ammo... more than enough for a protective force for any 3rd world dictator... Anyway, I moved to the passenger side. I remembe the last time the wife was in the truck, she let the seat fly forward from recline... Anyway, when I pushed the seat back it wouldn't lock. I got to work, & moved the cover out of the way.

I didn't find any broken parts, but it looked like the geared metal piece wasn't moving freely.

Anyone else have this happen ? hear of it happening?
suggestions ?

Slide the seat all the way forward and recline it all the way. Then it should catch.

 

Known annoyance. Do what Libom said for the cure.
