Dyno results????

Dyno results????

Is it true that sine i have a stall that when i dyno my truck it will rob some hp from me becuase of the stall and actually show lower hp rating then what i really have?????

Cause i dynoed my truck today and i only had 366rwhp but my torr was 489. And i have a 99 L with 90maf, jl chip, filter, 5# lower pulley(running at 13.5psi), level 10 shift kit, trans beafed up, 2600 stall. someone please respond??????????

I think that sounds about right for your mods.... my dyno numbers were 351rwhp and 436 rwtq

Those number do not sound right.

Seems like you are down about 35 hp or so.

I also think that a stall will give you a false reading "on the low side".
As for your numbers they do seem a little low.

Numbers seem low

I dynoed with a 4#,chip,air induction- 393 Rwhp-491-rwtq with JDM J69 Program.
Maybe its your program.
Do not know about stall.
Hope these numbers help.

You should be dynoing in 3rd with the torque converter locked. If so the type of converter you have should not affect the HP reading since when it is locked it is as if it was a solid bar of metal.

when the guy got on it, it didn't down shift, but he did it at 3100rpm in 3rd gear. i heard the only waay to really get the true reading is if the converter has a lockup switch.

If it didn't downshift then your reading should be accurate.
