NEW blower under warranty

I recently brought my 99 L in for it being a little bit noisey at idle. They are putting on a new blower..... I don't know if it was running bad because I just got it two weeks ago, but i did notice that it was getting 10psi pressure. I guess I will find out once i get it back! I am not sure if they screwed it up when they did the I/C recall a week ago. Anyone else had the blower replaced?

P.S If anyone is up for a mean race, I got the certified ford excort rental car.... I will take anyone

You're on, this will be a race of colors, i currently have the certified red escort cant wait for L to get out of shop. One quesion,, are they letting you keep the old supercharger?? I've always wondered if they let you keep the old engine if your current engine is replaced on warrenty.

oh yeah,, dont you just drive that escort into the ground, i drive my rental so hard i decided that i will never ever buy a used car that was once a part of a car rental business, i have no regards and no love for my pos escort they put me in, and i drive it like i stole it and the owner jumped in his L and is chasing me with his brights on

Ha...
My escort's a tranquil brownish/green color. I am glad that it has keyless entry and power windows....thats all I can say about it...

Yeah--they always keep the old parts for core parts. They return it to the manufacturer so they can reuse the parts/casings... When i worked at the autoparts store, you had the option of paying a higher price if you decided to keep the "core".

Wonder what the escort runs? 19's?

Rental cars rock

My friend takes his audi in to get serviced and when its not done they offer to give him a rental car. We were expecting a taurus or something like a Kia. they gave him a brandnew 2002 nissan maxima, i was really impressed fromthe momentwe did the front wheel drive burnout out of the dealer parking lot. 260 hp rental car not bad. rode nice too... good brakes... especially the E brake from 55 mph LOLLOL
Oh good times, you gotta love rentals, youcan do stuff you would never do i our own vehicle.

If you schedule a service call at least a couple of days in advance the bmw dealership here gives you a comprable bmw to drive on the spot. I couldn't believe it the first time i brought it in.

I had my blower replaced a few weeks ago while it was in getting the intercooler done. The blower made a rattling noise when I would put the truck in drive, and have my foot on the brake. It also made the same noise if the engined was reving high and there was hardly any boost - especially when cold. I got a new blower because they said the bearings were shot in the blower. I looked at the blower they took out, and there was hardly any teflon left on the rotors. I like the new blower (because now it says Ford SVT), but it it is starting to get the same noise. I have a 2# lower pulley on it and I am wondering if it is somehow misaligned with the blower pulley - thus causing premature wear, and failure of the blower. Any thoughts on this one??
