Help on installing "01 grilles in a '99

I will be having a set of upper and lower grilles coming for my '99. I have heard of others doing this, and I was curious as to how to do it. Any pictures / tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

i've heard that the '01 upper grill wont fit on a '99-'00 truck.
the lower grill will though.

go to http://www.svtlightnings.com/svt/gri...illetgrill.htm for info on changing out grills.. it shows me installing a billet grill, but you can see how to take the old grills out pretty well.

I was told you have to change the entire front grill piece to do it. The one that holds the grill itself and goes around the headlights. I haven't tried it, so I have know first hand knowledge of it.

I would love to find a way to fit the grilles into my existing front end if at all possible.

Why can't the grilles be interchanged? If it's size, how far off is it? Is there a way that I can make something work? I am at a point where I am about to do whatever it takes to get this grille in. I hate my current honeycomb style, and don't like any of the aftermarket grilles.

it works fine, I did it , just remove old shell, turn it over and unclip the honeycomb insert . replace with the slatted 01 insert and reinstall it . bottom just needs unbolted and the new on put on. piece of cake.
