My two wheeled adventure
Synopsis:
Victim of a driver suddenly turning left (and stopping) in front of me.
Result:
Impacted at appox 40 mph (luckily) usually flew through that area at 75+. Catapulted over the handlebars, her car, two flips in the air (so I was told) and dumped face first into the pavement.
Damage:
Road rash to the knees, smashed left thumb (to this day not sure how that happened). No broken bones or torn ligaments. Taken to Balboa Naval Hospital via ambulance. Walked out three hours later wearing a pair of newly cut-off jeans.
Thank god for a full face helmet and leather jacket.
Recovery:
Neosporin, Tylenol, and three weeks of varied pace bicycling around San Diego.
100% recovered. After 11 years, not sure if I'll ever ride again.
Three types of Motorcycle riders in the world.
1. Been down
2. Going Down
3. Under Ground

HAHA!!! no kidding Silver! Im actually kinda wondering how that stuff is really doing, I get x-rays every 6 mon and they say it fine. But a doctor friend of mine said that I might want to have that stuff taken out becuse over a long period of time it can weakin the bone around it...which didnt give me the warm fuzzies. Just the thought of surgery there again KILLS me. In 2000 i got what they call an "incisional hernia" which is a hernia along the incision where they repaired my hip and stuff, and that wasnt fun. My original incision is like 30" long.

Been there done that and quit over 10 years ago. Found out I fly great, but my landings were bad. Last time it was a QL3 (fighter lingo for UNSAT)landing and stopped riding the 2 wheels.
Ask Sal to burn you a chip to get the mineral to marrow ratio correct. Might cut time off your healing process since all the other mods mentioned didn't work...... TEASING.
Wish you the best and hope you have a full recovery.
