I know an idiot that has gotten under his truck with a wash bucket, hose and brush to clean the undercarriage. He wore his SCUBA mask to keep the water out of his eyes. What a moron.......OOPS that was me doing that.

Hey needforspeed,

I knew someone (no not me this time) that would take his front grill and bumper off of his Buick Regal t-type(not the gran national, but the blue little brother with the slightly de-tuned engine) every so often and take a toothbrush to his radiator. That car was was literally rubbed to death. There was a spot on the carpet where he had rubbed thru the carpet cleaning it, not using it, but cleaning it.

Needfourspeed,

I too am pretty ****, but not as bad as that guy. I must admit, I have laid down on the ground before and used a high pressure wand to wash the undercarriage of a couple of my previous vehicles. Although I didn't have a scuba mask(excellent idea), I just had to turn my head. This was usually followed by some good old spray undercoating.

As far as being really ****, consider this. My L has only been driven in the rain once, and only because I got caught by one of those wonderful little T-storm cells that are only a couple miles across!!!!

When I got home, I immediately took it to the high pressure wand to remove any soil under it before it was dried too heavily. Is that bad or what

The only time mine was in the rain was down at FFW in Ennis last year. It rained hard for awhile.

BTW-
Griots has a undercarriage and inner fender detail spray that I'm going to try.

Undercarriage and inner fender dressing? I just good old fashioned armor-all spray on foam!! Works great, but I am always willing to try something better. Let me know how it works.

FastAsL,

I use the armor-all tire foam on all the parts under the truck. I hit the frame, plastic, hoses, everything I can see and get to without crawling under the truck. It will make a huge difference in the way everything looks. Done this on several vehicles for several years and never had any problems. I am, however, interested in this detailer that needfourspeed is talking about. Danged ole' armor all is getting expensive at what almost 2.50 a can
