Touchless Car Wash?
LIGHTNINROD
Said it all for me. The touchless works great and then use the Miracle Mist.......... Shines Shines Shines
Of course it gets a weekly washing and 60 day polish with the Cherry Wax
Being down here in the South.... polishing the truck in the garage in the winter is a pleasant experience, but in the heat of the summer...... S@#$%

I have a car wash by me that has the cloths hanging down that go over as well high pressure blasters. The best part is the truck doesn't have to go on tracks. You just park and the machine goes around it, then drive slowly through the blowers. Does a pretty good job cleaning to.
Near us we have a BP with the spray-only touchless and a Shell with the octopus rags & wheel track. I no longer use either, but my wife does frequently. The octopus rags & wheel track wash does a better job of removing grime, but it leaves scratches. The spray-only one leaves the car looking shiny when you leave, but doesn't really do shiznit for actually cleaning the car. The clearcoat/wax they use at the end builds up over time, sealing the grime underneath. After about a dozen trips through it my wife's car looks dull and dingy no matter what. I have to strip it off by hand washing with an aggressive detergent soap. Then the cycle repeats. The car washes do have the undercarriage wash, which is good for removing all the salt midwestern states use. I don't use the car wash for my truck, though. I hate having a bed full of suds. Hand wash only.

If I lived in Texas or Nevada I'd hand wash all the time too, but around here, there are two reasons I don't:
1) When it is 28 degrees outside, it is very difficult to hand wash your own car.
2) We have a drought, washing cars is currently against the law.

We have a couple of those touchless washes around town but none of them do a very good job. They put on a good show, with the different color soaps and all, but don't remove all the road film. My wife's Bonneville never gets hand washed except when I do it, so she uses these washes about twice a week. Our ****er Spaniel hates them all. The dryer option just scares the hell out of her
WARNING: The touchless car washes are fine - it's the hair dryer at the end of the tunnel that is BAD! Don't linger underneath the hot air dryers very long, because the pressure will find air leaks in your rear glass seal and it will buzz every you get on the highway! It also beats up the soft factory tonneau too. I try and wash mine by hand, but if I have to drive through for a quick touch-up, I just drive past the dryer and dry off the truck at 90 MPH.
