How much Nitrous can I run Safely?

With mods in Sig. What can I run without throwing a connective rod, or damaging anything or anyone? Iw ould obviously get a custom chip for the nitrous, but can I even run anything without risking it.

I can safely guarantee, a 10 dry shot, will not destroy you, your friends, or your truck. i think

Luckily you have a 99/00 motor and rods so I would guess on a 75 shot being the max you could go safely.

Your best bet is to contact Sal and PSP though, he's the master of nitrous and Gen2 L's.

I'm running a 4lb lower, 1.5 to 2 lb upper and a 50 shot and thats the max Sal recommended until I get my new motor next year.

So do you guys think a 35 shot from a NX Wet Kit should be safe. RT Killa is running 2# more than me and Sal said a 50 shot. But, is a 35 shot even worth it. Do you even feel a difference?

Do you even really need a chip to run say a 50 shot?

hmmm, safely is a matter of concern, but with our NOS Progressive wet system, we have run more then we should.

12.50's@110mph, full weight, f1's, and a good chip.
the mph is down because we have the system a little rich.

just installed a 4lb pulley, and are gonna sneak up on the nitrous tune up again.

yes, I have been beat up about kicking a rod out !!

WARNING
kids dont try this at home!!!

Is there purportedly some difference between the 99-00 and 01-02 bottom end?

Thanks for any information

Steve

Does anybody know if you can feel a 35 shot while driving? And when is NOS coming out with their wet kit?

No difference in the bottom end. It is the timing and computer. If the truck begins to run what it thinks is to lean it will kick the timing up 3 degrees, usually causing it to also kick out a rod or two.

My 99 motor lost 3 rods on a 75 shot, wet system with a 3# lower and a NOS chip. oh well, You can feel the 35 shot, Still cools the intake air. only got to run 2.5 bottles through. No NOS on my new motor. I just do not feel safe running it intill I get a stronger motor. Might want to call PSP if you are going to run NOS.

A more safe and reliable way to go would be the NX N-tercooler which sprays a nitrous oxide mist over your intercooler...resulting in extremely cool intake air and more POWER!

This NX N-tercooler sounds like a really good idea. I'm gonna start a new thread about this.
