Question help with hanging hose

I have a hose (breather hose?) hanging down from the left side of the rear axle of my 99 L. Where does the other end connect to? I looked, but cant see anywhere that it might. Thanks, Brad

it should have a metal clip on it and it attaches to the underside of the bed. Its just a vent so when the air in the axle heats up it wont blow the seals out, but it needs to be high enough not to let water in. If the clip isnt on the hose, maybe its still up there on the bed, on a pinch weld.

Yep what Jeff said

I had a clogged vent and it caused 3 pinion seals to leak
