oil spot on driveway please help

I'm not terribly worried because nothing seems to be constantly leaking, but twice now i have found an oil spot on the driveway underneath the passenger side of the truck. I have an 01 L with no major mods except for air filter kit, oil breather, and cat back exhaust. I have a fealing this is due to the oil breather, but am just a little worried that it may be something else. I know the oil filter is on the driver's side so i dont think it has anything to do with the oil pan/filter.

Any info is apreciated.

Found some oil spots under mine recently. Rubbed my finger in it and it was red in color. Crawled under her and found I had a bad power steering hose. Hope its something as easy as that for you.

ok,, taking the L in for service this thursday,, not so worried about warrenty issues as I have hardly the mod yet, not even a chip, yet i still plan on replacing the mods i have with the original,, all except the catbak that is, although i could i dont think it will be big issue,,, at least i hope not

I'll let you know how it goes, i'd hate to have to get a new engine already,, only 5-6 K miles on it so far. Plus i've been very nice to it as its been winter and she's needed a good warm up before any hard driving. I hope all goes well but i am concerned. Every once in a while when the engine is cold and i have no time to idle it in the driveway to warm it up, it will stall on me when i put it in drive. Maybe this will help if anyone has some info on the issue. So far twice i've found an oil spot underneath front passenger side of truck, plus it will stall every so often ( happened about three times) when its cold outside and i put her in drive.

I'll let the board know if this is anything major. I would hate to no longer have the original motor in it though, its got to hurt resale value since i am buying the truck. Plus it'd be great to maybe get a blue one instead

~Toast,,, wish me and the truck luck, i'm sure it will be taken care of no problem, i just hope its not in the shop for long or there is nothing major wrong.

ps,,, i've read a post on here about why people buy warrenties and wait till they are up before they mod their truck,,, well,, this is exactly why. If this is something major, it will be fixed under warrenty period and not on my dollar, just on my time. this is a nice feeling of having my pockets safe for the time being.

Power steering hose problem? Sounds VERY familar...know of anyone else who has dealt with this? I've already replaced a hose (didn't help) and a pump (seems to be working for now). Time will tell...

As for the other...no oil leak in the driveway, just a gooey splatter on the steering wheel and windshield every time I hit that one-two downshift.
