Anybody heard about the 5.4 troubles?

Here is a link I saw on f150online's Eng. site.

I'm smelling what I think is 'burning' oil from around(?) the eng. bay but it may be stronger on the right side???

Are there any thoughts on this? Does anyone ever wonder how excessive cost saving actions can destroy an auto company? Look at the issues on the F150 (Lightning) and Focus. These are bread and butter vehicles. Is this part of Jac's Legacy? Quality should have never been held captive to cost! It is an action that can lead to a slow and painful demise.

Had to have the pass/side head replaced, spark plug took out threads. Also had leaking head gasget. if you look in back on pass/side it starts very slow but the oil runs down along joint between bellhousing and block. Also look around the starter motor. hope this helps!! had 26,000 on my 01L. Artie: note I never put in my psp items still in boxes. Guess it was a good thing!!
