Hello and congratulations on your purchase! Welcome aboard. As for the oil, you can find MotorCraft 5W 20 at Wallmart for 1.77 a qt. BTW, did you know that a Silver L is a little faster than the Red?

Thumbs up MAGNAFLOW

Congrats on your new toy! Magnaflow is a great choice. I recently installed that very muffler rather than 2 singles because of the integrated cross pipe design. In addition I installed Magnaflow High-flow cats. The L's actually have 4 very restrictive cats and these 2new ones actually release less polutants for emissions. I belive alot of it is the fact it burns hotter as well.I was amazed at the difference in power the install created and a sound like no other. Cab noise is not to bad either. Under idle it is not much louder than stock until ya' give er'! WOW! Compliments all the time. Enjoy!

Jack:

I had the JDM/Magnaflow c/b with the #14568 stainless muffler and their 4 1/2" tips installed recently. High quality pieces and everything fit perfectly. Here is a link with pics:

Not much louder at idle/criuse than stock but at WOT, it's niiiiiice. My 1/4 mile et dropped by about .030--not much but no loss.

I use Royal Purple #11(5W20) Synthetic Racing oil--Jeg's sells it for $7.99/qt.

Don't let nostreetracing try to BS you...red is the fastest color. As far as the oil goes what part of the country are you in. Here in the desert I run 10W30 M1 with 26000 care free miles. Your gonna love that truck.

Oil?

Hey Artie54; I can understand running 10w30 in the desert, but why are you using that in NJ? Just curious.
