I want to throw in a set of TR-5's and can't find some one who knows where to get them. Does anyone know the stock # of the TR-5's?

Carquest. You just have to say TR5 there.

 

I called advance auto parts:
asked the man if they carried NGK, he said yes.
I told him i wanted 8 ea TR5 for a ford 5.4 and I would pick them up on saturday. He said ok. and I did.
This was in Woodstock VA.

If you can't find them I have some TR-6's

 

You can get TR-5s for under 15.00 a set at many auto parts houses like Discount Auto.NGK is very popular and plentiful.

 

NGK part # for TR5's is 2338. Autozone doesn't stock them in the Boston area, got mine at Lappens.

Just picked a set up at BAP Import parts .NGK #2338 is wrong.TR-5's are NGK #2238.Paid $1.39 ea.Hope this helps!

OK, sounds easy right? I drove all over the north shore trying to get a set of dam plugs! Lappens told me I can't get them because the book calls for something else!!! Then they said ok...I heard him tell the helper, autolite # XXX shelf XXX...I say NO I WANT NGK TR5!!! He says, these are the same, don't worry about it!

Finally Indy auto ordered them for me, pick'em up tommorow!
