Question question about the magnaflows

I was looking at purchasing 2 magnaflow mufflers and just adding that to the remaining stock system...If i run true duals do i have to have an x-pipe like the Bassani set up for backpressure purposes? Also for u guys that are running the magnaflow what can i expect to pay for the 2 mufflers and what is the model #..Thank you for your answers.

P.S. Albert i hope this helps and sorry it took a while to post.

you dont absouletly(sp?) need the x-pipe but its a good thing to have. you can probly expect to pay anywhere from 130-180 for a single magnapack.

I was steered away by my installer who I might add drives a Viper ,to use the #14568 instead of 2 singles. It has an internal cross and dyno#s more consistent. Sonds awesome! Performance gains beyond expectations.

The 12468 is louder than the 14568. The 14568 sounds like stock to me. Plus, my buddy Bob likes it.

The local muffler shop, here in Norman, called Magnaflow about the 14568. The new cat-back system is in their newest catalog!Magnaflow, told him, they would be available in 2 weeks!
The shop owner said he wasn't aware that Magnaflow had high-flow cats! He would call them, and ask!
Is the 14468 stainless? How does it sound? Will it help or hurt performance? I'm just looking for improvement in the sound!
Any improvement in performance would be a plus!
I'm looking at, Just changing the muffler!
Thanks for any help!

Albert

Albert...

I have the 14468 and it sounds great! Definately louder than stock, but not annoying. Really opens up at WOT! The drone inside the cab is noticable but very slight at about 2K. At idle it is not much louder than stock. No noticable power increase, just sound improvement.
