Lightbulb Weight of stock 40/60 seats?

If anyone has weighed the stock 40/60 seats, how much do they weigh?

About 65-70lbs for the passenger seat and about 45-50lbs for the driver seat. If you need exact I have them in my family room and I might be able to weigh them.

That's close enough. About 110 - 120 lbs. Track seats are 32 lbs for a possible weight savings of 80 lbs, plus 80 - 90 lbs plus less weight on the front.

Thanks!

Plastic storage bin behind the seat is an easy remove and worth another 7-8lbs. With a good quality bolstered race seat you can concentrate more on your driving rather than bracing yourself for the next turn. Don't forget to remove the jack and drain the windshield fluid tank. More weight off the front.

Thanks for the tips. I'm installing a harness bar, 6 point harness (both sides), and race seats. My wife mentioned that I had an unusual driving style in the turns while braking and especially while braking and the first turn into the corkscrew. It wasn't until later that I told her that I was holding on! I told her that it wasn't the best way to turn or get feedback.

I hope to shave a few seconds off with this mod and think it's very possible.
