Just wonderin... Do I need to take the drivers side wheel off to do this install? Any tips from some of you that have done it would be welcome. Thanx, Bill

Nope i was the first one to get it on my truck and Sal did the install. Just had to take out the driver side wheel well so that you can trim it to fit the hose. Plenty of room for 20's which i should have in 5 days if all goes well this time

Made this post then went outside to wash the L while waiting for replies. Using my new Hawian Shine wash from Coats that I also received this week in anticipation of her first coat of cherry wet in the a.m. The local Highway Patrol stopped while I was washing her...But thats another thread altogether. I will post about that later Well this should bring it to the top again as no tips yet

YO BADazz

So I take it that my big fat arms can do it without removing the wheel?

It's easier with the wheel off; but, you can do it with it on. Wheel off gives you more room to move around in.

You've already wasted way more time than it takes to remove the wheel...

You know I almost felt like I was cheatin by postin this question on-line. It's been thirty years since I did any modifications to an automobile. Back then it was Bw T-10 trannies, edelbrock high rise, holly 4bbl, more voltage to your points etc... There really and truly wasn't an internet that you could connect with others and exchange ideas etc... I love it and appreciate all your help. 4D THNDR your right but... tonight is a cherry wet wax night Thanx ODIN and BaddAZZ aint this the greatest truck ever?

You lucky sucker ! Livin' in my home town--born-n-raised there many years ago--Lord, Lord, many years ago--LOL

Take the wheel off--it will make it easier to get the liner loose and for trimming the liner.

Btw, you will love it--I know I do.

Got the front half of the L Cherry waxxed tonight while the neighborhood stopped by to say hello. Neighbors, troopers etc.. The Trooper was something special as he was a former L owner. He had a nice Lightning hitch plug that he reached in his tool box and gave to me. He drives a 3500 Chevy deisel now, tows his horses etc.. now with it... Good guy , loves Lightnings. Turned me on to some Lightning mechanics that I might want to use in the future. These Lightnings are magnets!! SUDDENLY FELT LIKE A CAT OR SOMETHING LATE TONIGHT>>> Pulled her out of the garage and left my mark on the street two times for a few hundred feet just in front of the house!!!
