Nitrous L.E.D. Lights, dash mounted. SWEET!

I did this mod along time ago and I thought some of you guys might like to see it since I finally took some pics last night.

I bought these LED's at Radio shack for like 2 bucks each, they come in a wide range of sizes. I got them cause I never knew when my nitrous was on cause I hid the switchs for it under the dash. This way when the nitrous is activated the lights will light up and I know there on.

Its bad when you have a Nitrous program on, and you forget to activate the solenoids. (I only let that happen once ).

The green LED is for the solenoids
The red LED is for the bottle warmer

Later, Joe

Though it is nice an all. I think it is like a V-Tech LED that the Si crowd likes to put in thier dash. You could have just gotten lighted switches...

I do have lighted switches, but there mounted under the dash. I personally think people who mount switches on there panel where I have my LED's mounted look more ricey then my mod, but thats just my opinion.

I have to agree with RT on this one...

I would much rather have just two little LED's mounted on my dash than the whole assortment of switches etc. Its much cleaner this way, much less ricey, and much more stealth looking...

Then again, I'd also just like to just have my Lightning run fine for more than a few days at a time without having to have the dealer look at it for one thing or another, but apparently thats too much to ask.

Be wary of the 50,000 mile mark- thats all i gotta say.

Yeah

I'm at 61K. My truck hasnt run well since about 53K. The last 8,000 miles have been like driving mule. The damn thing wont run on more than 6 cyl except when I take it in to the dealer for a computer check. Then it runs great

I really don't think these trucks where engineered to handle this type of abuse for a long period of time.

Damn 01's and 02's are blowing up at 1000 miles, 2500 miles, whatever!
