First off, if it is someone on here.............I greatly apologize for posting this, but maybe some constructive criticism will get you running something a "little" better.

I was at the track last night, in line waiting to run (which I'll get into in a whole nother thread....UGH!!!), and I had my friend go and see what this white '99 or '00 L would run........he comes back and tells me it ran a 16.3x! WTF.............ARE YOU SURE?? NO WAY!!!! What, did he forget to launch until 3 seconds later or something??

But guess what? He backed it up with a 17.XX!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My friend says it was sideways all the way thru the first 100' or so, which means he must have been powerbraking it up to like 3000 or something, who knows.

Someone please help him..............If you're on here, we want to help you..............you can't do that man..........you're killing the public's views of our trucks!!!

Made me feel much better about my eventual deplorable runs last night!! Onto my decrepit runs...........see other thread

5% Limo Tints (yes illegal!)

I thought any tint was legal in FLA?

 

Could be a F one fitty V6 with the lightning sticker and body package.

 

Limo tint legal on anything EXCEPT driver side windows and passenger front!

So yes, ILLEGAL on our trucks. Yes......I am guilty also!

 

NOPE!!! He had the hood open earlier, and it was perfectly real!!! No doubt about that!!

Maybe he was running on 4-cylinders. LOL

I ran a 16.2 once when I hit the rev limiter and had my boost cut off. He's probably power braking in the burnout box, hitting his rev limiter and causing the boost to be shut off. Did he realize his times sucked?

 

2000Black beat me to it. Your friend launched with excessive wheel spin, thereby activating the boost cut off. He needs to either roll into the throttle a more gently, or unplug his boost solenoid. I would suggest a combination of both.

 

either he lost his boost or he just mashed the pedal from the green light, if you spin your tires through first and finally get traction in second that will give you a 16+ time.

 

Maybe he's into bracket racing and he wants to dominate the 16s.

 

I know what happened guys..he had an F-150 with the Lightning kit!! Ever see the badass Lamborghinis but when you look at the speedo it goes up to 120, looks like a lambo, under the hood looks like a v12, but its fake, they make kits to put on the engine or somethin to make it look like a v12 when its actually a v6..this poor individual paid $20k for the whole thing, wheels, ground fx, and the engine stuff. 17 second L, thats as bad as a 14 second viper gts

 

Well..........there was a mid 13-second Viper RT/10 there last night......I didn't get to see what the GTS ran......there were some badass cars there last night
