I found this pic the other day and liked the idea of doing the same thing to my badges. I find the thread so I have a question.
What did you use to get the paint or whatever it is off of the badge? How long did it take

 

That looks like Chikenears truck, you use Acetone to get the black of the emblems...

ICU is 100% that is chikenears truck. I did the Acetone to my emblems. Nice mod looks really good. Uses alot of Qtips though.

 

I had to have some paint work done on my right fender and door,they installed a new emblem after I got the truck back I was just hosing it off with a garden hose and 75% of the black came off the new emblem! Guess I'll just have to do the other one and finish this one.I kinda got a free mod out of that? PS the paint looks like SH#T and will be going to another shop that knows how to paint.

 

Thanks. I got the drivers side done and decided it didnt look that good. So I guess im off to the dealer for a new badge.
