Washer Clunk On Regular F-150's and Lightnings?
Washer Clunk On Regular F-150's and Lightnings?
Do the regular F-150's experience the famous left front control arm washer clunk that Lightning's do?
I noticed during the lowering process that the control arm has an SVT sticker on it and it made me wonder if the regular F150's have the slotted control arm holes also.
I need to do an alignment very soon and if I have to pay $50 for a set of washers, well, so be it. It's just STRANGE that Ford would put a control arm on these vehicles with a known defect and continue to produce them that way!
I can't bring myself to believe that it IS a defect. There HAS to be a reason for it. Can anybody with an engineering background see a possible reason for the slotted control arm?
Thanks,
Tim
