Intercooler working, problem solved, check your truck if any major work has been done
A month after my new engine was installed I finally feel that the truck is back to normal and running well.
Today we found that in additon to the intercooler pump not running that the tech that performed the engine swap actually reversed two of the intercooler hoses which would not allow cooled coolant to flow into the intercooler (probably what burned out the pump motor also). The check engine light did come on at one point and the trucks performace was lackluster so we knew something was wrong it just took a lot of detective work to figure this one out. Hopefully I'll be able to improve on the 14.20 @ 95 mph pass I made last week without a working intercooler!!
My advice is if you have had any major work performed on your truck be sure to check the intercooler hose routing as I have seen first hand it is not fool proof.
