Here is a pic of the JDM Boost BiPass kit. What this does is keep the boost dump valve from opening like in the picture above. This mod will never give you a service engine soon light.

You disconect a vacuum line install a T between two ther ines, and plug the hole where the vacuum line came from, and you will never loose boost again

there is something called a boost dump. when the computer detects too much boost it will open the the boost bypass valve. you will still me making boost, it just will not be going into your engine. this doesnt mean that if you buy a 6lb pulley you will never have boost unless you get the bypass or unplug it, the bypass only activates when its "dangerous" or something, im sure someone that knows for sure will chime in and correct me if im wrong.

if you hit your rev limiter during a burnout, the computer will activate the boost dump. this sux when trying to get a sub 13 second pass..

DO NOT CUT ANY VACCUM LINE!!!!!!!!!

Just pull apart the 2 that have a union holding them together.

NO NEED TO BUY THIS BYPASS

its free just unplug the bypass exactly as the picture is and u will never lose boost again and it will never set off a check engine light. that is for free. some say if u do that u will get service engine lights this is not true. at least on my truck and several others i have talked to. simply unplug it for free and dont worry bout it. i used to lose boost at the track occasionally so i unplugged it. it has not been plugged in now for about 15000 miles now and never has set a code or set the light off! but if u feel like u need to spend a few bucks get the kit. just trying to save a fellow lightning owner a few bucks no pun intended.

I thought the ECU would monitor the resistance of the dump solenoid coil windings? The plugging of the cauum line is the "proper" way to do it though. The ECU can still activate the soenoid but does nothing as it is plugged.
