Since I've spent the past month spending money I don't have, I guess it's not going to hurt if I continue the trend. Two of the next mods I'm looking at are the PSP TruckTraks and the FRPP drop kit. My question is, will the drop interfere with the traction bars in any way? My plan is to get them both and install them at the same time, but I don't want to order them and have to send one back when I find out they don't work together. If it comes down to it, I'd take the bars over the drop, but I'd rather support the economy by buying both. Thanks for anything y'all can tell me.

Not sure if the TruckTraks fit with the FRPP kit but I do not see why they wouldn't. If you are going to pay someone for the install you can save some money and I will help with the install, just drop me an email. Also, not sure if it helps but I have the FRPP kit and I am going to pick up some Lakewood's this weekend in Houston, I am pretty sure these fit and they are cheap.

 

I don't see why they won't. I think about half of the Lightnings that are using my Truck- Traks are also using a 2" drop shackle in the rear.

That's how the FRPP kit is set-up. New springs in the front, and shackles in the rear.

TOMMYLIGHTNING has the FRPP drop and the Truck Tracs as well. He has had some great 60 foots with them and had nothing but good things to say about them...

I personally used them with the Bell Tech 3/4 kit. They did work well. Jay took the time to talk with me and get the setup right for my drop kit. They are well worth the money.....

 

I would think the traction bars would actually work BETTER with the drop shackles, due to the improved pinion angle.

I am going with that set-up very soon, too, and I have a 2 3/4" rear drop. Shouldn't be a let down, I've heard nothing but good things about Jay's Truck-Trac's and the new Lakewood units.

If you have a 3/4 drop or 2/3 since its a L.

I would do a 5deg pinion angle change, I broke my shaft with only 3 and no traction bars. Also if you have this drop and get the Truck Tracs, make sure you get the snubber adjustment kit and spacers...

The 5 deg change and traction bars make it straight when launching....

 

Richard, did your 3/4 drop change the pinion angle that much? That would cause some significant u-joint wear over a period of time.

I though they included a wedge adaptor to change it closer to stock?
