Lightbulb FYI - New Fan From Flex-a-Lite

Summit and Jegs are both able to get it.

Dual 15" bolts directly to the factory radiator in place of the Fan Shroud.

This thing moves 5500 cfm. Price is $379.99 and the wiring harness with A/C relay is included.

Here is a picture.

I dont think it is for a 4-core like ours.

Actually it is for a 4 core, like the one F-250 V-10, which is what Flex-a-Lite tested it on. At least that is what the Tech told me.
Test were also performed during towing operation.

I have already measured and confirmed with Flex-a-Lite it will fit a Lightning Radiator and should have no problem cooling it.

The Part # is FLX-270 and Jegs will have them in 10 days I ordered one.

That is sweet then. I was looking a while ago and it seemed like all the ones for Ford trucks specified that they were not for 4-core's. But if this one is then go for it, I'll bet it will keep our trucks nice and cool.

But then again since it is 16* here right now and snowing I don't really need a fan at all to keep mine cool God I can't wait for a month or so to go by so it will stay above 45.

I've had a couple on order for a few weeks. I really liked my old dual flex a lite fan, this one is 15" instead of the 14" and has the plastic shroud instead of the fiberglass.

Note: for a lightning you will have to make a bracket for the intercooler reservoir.

I know a guy that put this setup on his '02 S crew at the dyno. He ran before and after with these results:
I baselined at 195.8 at the rear wheels @ 269.1 ft-lbs. After installing the Flex-a-Lite fan kit I pulled twice more with the best reading of 206.1 @ 274.4 ft-lbs.

10.3hp and 5.3ft-lbs of torque increase - that's what I'm talkin' about!

I'll have the skinny on these for you guys in a couple of weeks. At the Dyno pull I won a free install of this set up for my L. It will include a before and after dyno pull to see what the real difference is. They will also have a magazine editor there to take pics and write up a story about how well the Flex-a-lite stuff works. It was supposed to happen on 4-5 but got delayed for a bit because the magazine guy couldn't fly out that day. I'll post the info when it happens.

Not if you modify the mount to fit on the stock shroud

That is exactly what I did for the old dual flex a lite I had. Just drilled a hole and it fit great.
