Fog Mod Light Help

While I had the dash apart, I figured it was a good time to do the parking light/fog light mod. Thats when things started to go bad. I first did the #2 to #12 wire splice, but no power to the fog lamps (they didn't turn on). Tried this before I put the light switch back into the dash. Any way, I removed the 'splice' and tried the fog lamps...no go. I checked the fog lamp fuse under the hood, 15amp, and it was not blown. I used my digital meter set on 12V, but no power at the fuse. My question, is there a fusable link that I might have blown........ or am I missing something

check pins

I would check that you didn't pull one of the wires out of the switch connector. I just spliced the brown and the yellow wire together and had no problems. I hope you didnt cut the wires completely and that you are using a crimp splice connector
I don't know of any fuse on the wires themselves but there is probably a relay

I blows fuse 27 under the dash......not 15.

I wired mine a little differently, I used 5 and 12, that way they are on anytime the parking lights are

qball2439, it was a blown foglamp relay fuse as you said. 5amp in location #27. I was referring to the 15amp in location #9 under the hood, I blew a couple in my 99 L BTW, I never spliced into my wiring harness, I just used a jumper behind the harness with the bare ends pushed into the harness connections. So now Iam back to square one. Nice link, Dr. D, but $40.00 plus core charge maybe if I lived nextdoor. Thanks to all who responded. Now to the beverage store:o
