a bunch of people asked me tonight if i had seen the "yellow lightning" that was in town..
huh? yellow? no way....
after educating the unwashed redneck masses, i deduced that someone had bought a "boss f150".



sure 'nuff.. thats what it was.

i swear.. everytime someone puts new rims/stickers/tail lights on a f150 around here, i hear a dozen people clamoring about the "new lightning" in town.. sheesh.

anyway, a young kid drives it.. he said his mom bought it for him.
she paid $41,000 for it!!!!! OMG!

i'll see if i can talk him into modding it.. and i'll see if his mommy is single.. hehe

 

If his "mommy" is looking for a more mature guy, send her up here! Or better yet, run him for his "mommy"

 

I seem to remember a yellow 2nd Gen truck on EBAY about 4 months ago, It resembled a Lightning but was infact a regular F150 that was modified to look like a Lightning. I bet if you ask to look under the hood this maybe the truck. An after market company had done the work and had alot of Lightning parts and some after market parts. It was a very nice package but lacked the heart of the Lightning, the BLOWER

ask him to check it out, only way to tell.

 

there is a messican in town here...has a red F-150...put everything including badges on it to make everyone think it's an L, but of course its a simple F-150. RICE writ large.

 

What you have a picture of is a Boss 5.4 alot of people get them mixed up. Note the black hood.

I LOVE IT!!!! That thing is unreal. I hope to see a lightning in 03 with that body styling. No wonder the new color was blue rather than yellow. They were saving it for something. I like it!!!

...but I like most of it. The applied molding on the door looks a bit busy.

What I like the most is the HOOD. With a redone paint scheme, this would look "****" on a Lightning. Is this truck a Ford factory truck or an aftermarket? If from Ford, I wonder how much the hood is and if it's functional.

Any info?

 

There is a yellow Lightning around here in Santa Barbara w/ chromed wheels. Owner by Steammaster or some company like that.
